I have not written anything new on the blog for the past year. I do plan to change that. I promise to write something new here weeky till my medical internship is done.
Week 1 18/01/2024-19/01/2024
Got to meet my colleagues.
Assisted in an EUA and cesarian section.
Admitted patients in gyn ward.
I suture on day2 -the subcutaneous layer.
It hits me how much I have lost my suturing skills after 6 months. Also, I am surprised by how manual a cs is. I need more practice suturing.
Week 2It is a lot of information to process but I make sure that I read about the conditions that are present in the ward. PPROM, Blighted ovum, PPH, ABO/Rhesus incompatibility. The clinic has way more varied clinical cases than the ward. Also got my login credentials to the hospital EMR.
